Due
to the recent cell phone activities of several or a specific student(s),
there was a contest held on Friday the 29 of February. Although the
contest was hush-hush during the first class period, by the second and
third periods the word was out. Only a couple of teachers actually
caught the students using their phones throughout the day while Ms.
Vogel walked up and down the halls asking for cell phones. She then
proceeded to walk around the halls filling up a 9x13 cake pan with cell
phones. By the end of the day Ms. Vogel had a total count of 60 cell
phones (which is 67% of the student body not including the students who
didn’t turn in their cell phones). All in all the day turned out to be a
success for Ms. Vogel because she received a candy bar for all the hard
work the she did (or had her Child Development students do for her). Mr.
Subbert had three while Mr. Grebin counted two phones by the end of the
day.
